Abongta’s Notes From Facebook

Dear loving people,

It’s true I’ve been away and so Happy New Year. A billion thanks to all those who have kept the faith, I have however been active with reflections on Facebook and collecting action-provoking thoughts from great minds on Facebook. Permit me now to pull them together for your edification…

Recently, I read about Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882) and agree strongly with his edifying words “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

When you have a glimpse of what lies within you, it becomes clearer to you that the tough guys strive to be their best at all times no matter the circumstances because at the end of the day, its not about what lies behind or before you nor the people around you, its about you and God. I say this because your character is the degree to which you live you life consistent with high, life-enhancing values. A person who lacks character is one who compromises on higher order values in favor of lower order expedience, or who has no values at all. Your adherence to what you believe to be right and true is the real measure of the person you have become to this moment. Think about it. How would someone describe your character?

Let not the futility of man lead you into earthly entanglements. By the way, when was the last time you were so deceived, disgraced, emotionally battered, lambasted and ambushed by the person you have all along considered your best friend? Just maybe you will want to hear my story. Well! I don’t celebrate bad moments, and no matter the circumstances or wake of things, don’t let the ephemeralness of a futile human nature destroy your will to self-motivate. Do strive at all times to rise to the heights God destined for you.

However, you must bear it at all times in mind that Unexpected circumstances can be thrown at you, in fact, they will be thrown at you more often than you would like but what is the thing that counts most in these situations? What counts most is how you REACT to what happens to you, especially when you have unexpected problems of any kind.

The questions comes, do you have incredible powers of mind and emotions that give you timely and accurate feedback in every area of your life? The answer is yes! However, how well you use this divine gift to ensure your success is largely a matter of choice. However, I must tell you that you alone can control the choices you make about your life?

On a lovely Sunday evening like the one at the time I am putting these notes together,  I pray that this day and hence remain bright for you too. Take some moments at your earliest convenience to review your dreams; change your approaches if they have not been yielding results, take some risks, venture onto new grounds, plan with God and remain committed, your star will shine soon.

Once again, I am most delighted to be reconnected to you especially as we head towards the official launching of Living Lectures come November 2014.
