Dear lovely people,
I have solid reasons to think
that Ralph Waldo Emerson was so right when he said “The purpose of life is not to be
happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it
make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
I always affirm to myself that I was
born to shine and so are you! God had made you and me so special. It is
crazy to think we were once just a small cell in our mother’s womb and now we
are fully formed people who can see, think, hear, run and praise God. The Bible
says in Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
When all else fails always
remember your main reason for living. The hardships you have gone through in
your life are not by coincidence or by some accidental fate. God has
deliberately brought these situations into your life, not to break you, but to
cultivate the fountain of gold that is within you. God has a plan for you and
that is the solid reason why you were born to make a difference, to shine in
all radiance. The Bible again tells us in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through him
that gives me strength”
It is my wish that this message
will be a reminder to all the people who want much more out of life but who have
allowed their light to be dimmed or totally diminished by experiences or
circumstances, that we were all Born To Shine!
Yes! we are each responsible for
our own life story. You can choose for your life story to be about
hopelessness, victimization, complaining and sadness. Or you can choose today
to write a new story - a bright story of happiness, joy, kindness, love,
laughter, peace, optimism, inspiration and success. A story in which you are
the protagonist.
As a protagonist of your own
story, use you setbacks, pain, mistakes and failures as valuable lessons and
building blocks to grow, to gain strength and courage to make tomorrow the
start of a new story. A story in which you are everlastingly reminded that you
were born to shine.
For
sure, “In a gentle way, you can shake the world” that is Mahatma
Gandhi speaking and Catherine of Siena calls on you to “Be who God meant you to be and you will set
the world on fire.”
