Volunteer With Living Lectures

Dear lovely people,

Today, I am moved to call your good nature to action. Living Lectures is about moving onto a new level! For this to happen, we need YOU. Mahatma Ghandi said “Those who want to do good are not selfish. They are not in a hurry. They know that to impregnate people with good requires a long time. But evil has wings. To build a house takes time. Its destruction takes none.” We need VOLUNTEES to be able to take this giant step.

Living Lectures as we all know is bringing a new dimension to personality development, relaxation, recreation and consequentially better health (wellbeing) in line with what Johnnetta B. Cole said “The best response to the long list of social ills is to put into effect the Noah principle.  That is, stop looking for credit for predicting the rain; it’s time to start building an ark.”

We need people like you to volunteer as members of an Organizing team that will plan and manage a series of launching/fundraising events for Living Lectures.

Permit me to quote Johnnetta B. Cole again who said “The ultimate expression of generosity is not in giving of what you have, but in giving of who you are.” Willingly volunteering your know-how and time for this course is a step in living this dream.

Living Lectures is faced with this gargantuan task and like Johnnetta B. Cole continues to say “Faced with what seems like an impossible task, a group of folks will do well to remember the African proverb:  When spider webs unite they can tie up a lion.”

We want to tie up this lion that is the lunching/fundraising for Living Lectures. Are you willing to be part of the spider web? “Some things are fully worth doing even if you know the final product will be far short of perfect:  write a poem, sing in the shower, greet someone in their language instead of your own.” Johnnetta B. Cole keeps on.

Living Lectures is about singing a new song not only in the shower but equally in the rains. How edifying and consoling it will be if you decided NOW to be part of that melodious choir.

Start Now, VOLUNTEER with us.
