What Goes on Inside a Winner’s Head?

Dear loving people,

It’s hard to say this but I have all reasons to think that being a success in all that you do is perhaps the most challenging thin of all to do. You require a unique blend of speed, strength, motivation and endurance all at the same time. In addition to these qualities, you must stand up to the punishment inflicted by the huddles you must overcome to be a success. To withstand the inevitable pain and fatigue, you must possess a mind that is as tough as your body.

So what do successful people or those on the path of success worry about? What do they focus on? How do they approach the quest for success and forging ahead differently from others? The most shocking and inspirational revelation of all was when I realized all successful people saw themselves as winners. They had all achieved success in most areas of life. Even the ones still on the way to eminent accomplishments saw themselves as champions in life. And all of them approached life like they were going to become champions.

After reading as much as there is to read about successful people and spending several years with some of these successful guys it was easy for me to pick out all the things that made them different from the average achiever.

Firstly it’s about Mental Confidence. They have lots of self-confidence. What can I say? Most of the people who have reached the heights of success are very confident about themselves. They don’t waste time pondering over such insecure questions like:
  • “Am I too old to achieve sustainable success?”
  • “Do I have what it takes to be a success in this life?”
  •  “Am I too weak to face the challenges on the way to success?”
  •  “Will I ever be successful in the things I have set out to accomplish?”
  •  “Are my reflexes too slow to push me forward to the places I want to be?”
  •  “Am I not genetically gifted enough to be counted amongst the successful?”
None of that rubbish! Successful people have already decided long ago, that they loved what they set out to do and wanted to do it no matter how hard it was. They love the domain and don’t mind tackling challenges along the way because they get to do what they love.

So instead of questions full of self-doubt, successful people usually have more utility-type of questions:
  • “How can I improve upon the results I get each time I act?”
  • “How do I maximize my strength and upgrade my enthusiasm?”
  •  “How can I deal with the most challenging things that I come across?”
No more self-doubts. They’re way beyond that point in their life. They’re only focused on doing it and doing it well. They ask positive constructive questions which can only lead to positive constructive answers.

To be so confident. It has to do with time and experience. Exposure to the things they do at the highest levels. After learning so much from your mistakes and seeing yourself grow, you get more confident. After overcoming so many challenges that nothing surprises you anymore, you get more confident. After rubbing shoulders with the mighty and powerful and seeing how you’re not so far behind, you get more confident. After toiling for years at the lower levels that your hard work begins to pay off, you get more confident. That’s all it is. And so that’s why it’s nearly impossible for beginners to feel confident when they have so little time invested in themselves and little experience.

It’s one thing to be confident in your potential and value as a person. It’s another thing to be confident in your skills and fighting ability. One comes from having self-respect, the other comes from hard work and sacrifice.

The Law of Harvest

Dear loving people,

In Galatians 6:7 (NIV), I read “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sow” and you hear this every day, everywhere and all the time. Why do some people want to reap where they have never sown? Well, in agreement with Robert Louis Stevenson, “Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant” because we sow in one season, we reap in another.

In the same light, Ngobesing Suh Romanus advices; “Be not overly concerned, about the fruits of your labor; be more concerned, about the service you render; every service brings its reward; in due time, It comes; If not today tomorrow.

In your quest for success and prominence, NEVER be like the Landlords whom Karl Marx says, “…like all other men, love to reap where they never sowed.” And as Maya Angelou says, “If we don't plant the right things, we will reap the wrong things. It goes without saying. And you don't have to be, you know, a brilliant biochemist and you don't have to have an IQ of 150. Just common sense tells you to be kind, ninny, fool. Be kind.”

Life experiences have demonstrated in so many ways to different people in different parts of the world that:
1.     What goes around comes around irrespective of your choices.
2.    You will see the long-term effects of your actions whether you like it or not.
3.    Everything you do has repercussions. It comes back to you one way or another.
4.    You cannot escape the consequences of your actions. What you do comes back to you.

In a nutshell, your actions all have consequences. Don't ever be fooled into thinking that your actions don't have consequences. Don't think you can get away with bad choices even if you don't seem to get caught. Watch the way you live your life because as have been said already, you reap what you sow.

“The law of harvest is to reap more than you sow. Sow an act, and you reap a habit. Sow a habit and you reap a character. Sow a character and you reap a destiny.” Says James Allen

I can Attain You!

Dear lovely people,

There are those times when you look back at the people who have come into contact with you and realize there are two types. There are those who have so impacted your life that you wish to be in their presence for always and there are those you regret the day you ever met them. I have seen the ups and downs, I have met the best and the worse, for short, I have met the good the bad and the ugly.

But then when it comes to you, yes I mean you, goodness! I remember the day I got to know you. You were like a strange concept but then you so touched the deepest part of me. Even though your ways are so straightforward, many find you inaccessible, some get confused and even ask themselves why they have to struggle that much to get to you. But you are just you after all.

Behold, you are there in your wholeness, so easy going, open handed to welcome those who can brave it to merit you. I think of you all the times, I review my strategies all the times just to be in your bosom and for short, I go through thin and think to stay close to you.

Living with you is like rocking the clouds, it’s more like riding on a royal road along which children and adults alike call you master, the boss, patron and bow at your every gesture. When you hold my hand, my words to millions becomes gospel filled with power. Places tremble when those who have greeted your hands pass by, you become a front-line guest everywhere, even in the churches, you are given the front-line pews.

I will always remember the day I got to know you because you lighted a fire that burns in me each new day as I work to keep our relationship going. Stay close to me, hold me tight and let me for ever feel and live your fragrance. You are the one in all, the lighted path in the darkness.

I know you, you are Success, Providence, Grace and the He that is in here and the hereafter. Thank you heavenly father for making me to know there is success and that with a guided mind and hard work, I can attain you.
