Engineer Your Success

Dear lovely people,

Let me sound a bit funny today! Why because it’s not customary for me to go down this lane. Now, you want success so bad you set up a great plan to succeed. Good job! But, a plan is only great as long as you stick to it and it leads you exactly where you want to go. Agree?

Here is a hard fact about your goal and consequentially the plan you put in place to achieve it. "Don't attempt it (your goal), if you haven't the passion for it, or the patience, or the humility" most of the time, the initial pay or reward is extremely low, the work is hard and there is certainly so much you have to learn in your field that is not taught in school. Whatever domain you have chosen will eventually be fulfilling and very rewarding, but only if you truly love it and commit to what it takes to achieve success.

You must fully understand that you can’t do it all alone. It’s tough, it’s hard and sometimes just suicidal. One of the quickest ways you can rise up to the ranks of high achievers in your field is to align yourself with the right partnership. “I firmly believe that success lies in the combination of both talent and business savvy, and that the magic comes through partnership between both” Says Delphine Arnault.

What I know about high achievers is that they scan through their field and locate people or firms with whom they can team up in order to leverage their expertise. That is exactly what your plan for success should include. Success doesn’t spring out of the blue, not now and never ever after. It is engineered.

Just before you get excited, keep it at the center of your mind that partnerships work only when they are mutually beneficial. You must find out and clearly understand” Who will benefit from my partnership; who your competition is and what their competition is. You must equally know whether you are moving in the direction they will love to support you in.
