Redesign Your Vision!

Dear lovely people,

I know there are days when you don’t feel like doing anything for reasons you can’t even explain other than the fact that you just feel that way. It happens to most people once in a while but then to some people, it happens more often than desired. Such people soon find out they have lost steam and are not motivated to do anything to advance their dreams.

One of the biggest reasons why such people get demotivated is because they are not consistently connected with their vision. Once you are not tenaciously connected with the vision of what you are trying to achieve, self-demotivation easily set-in. A first step to waving this paralyzing feeling away as often as it comes is to be able to ask yourself the tough questions most of the times: What are you working so hard for every day? What do you want to get out of it all? What is your dream outcome? What are your end goals? What will excite and spur you to move forward?

Some of the times, in order for you to get where you want to be, you have to re-frame the tasks at hand so you can focus on the benefits it provides instead of the exasperation it brings especially while you execute them. Yes, sometimes we get so caught up in the daily grind of work that we forget why we are doing it in the first place. Learn to step back some times, relax, and consider the alternatives.

“You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand.” Says Woodrow Wilson

As far as Living Lectures is concerned, I am putting in much every day to develop it but, I never lose sight of my end vision. My vision is to, travel around the world to speak to thousands of people and especially to touch the lives of millions of people everywhere. I may not be there yet, but I know I’ll reach there as long as I am focused and working hard at it. With a big vision, it spurs me to create endlessly, rather than settle for status quo. Anybody can do same. All you need is the will.

Whatever it is you want to achieve in life, you’ll most probably need to be focused and work extremely hard. Instead of focusing on the task at hand, focus on the long-term reward you’ll get by doing what you have to do now. Maybe you want to rewrite your name in the good books of personal achievement or to make your family proud. Develop self-affirmations that will keep you focused on the benefits of sticking with your project and not giving up in the face of all adversities.
