Dear lovely people,
In my childhood days, only the wealthy in
my community could afford nursery school for their children but we were happy
to start primary school (infancy 1) at five and I remember one of our most
popular and common song…
Row, row, row your
boat,
Gently down the
stream.
Merrily, merrily,
merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
I
could not have imagined then, how subtle that song that kept us so happy and fulfilled
was. Of course as you row, row, row your boat of life down the stream of life,
only you can determine its direction. You are either rowing your boat of life
to achievements and happiness or damnation depending on how you set out and
where you set your sights.
Your
boat will be rowing gently down the stream when it’s primordially clear to you
that you have to fight to reach your dream and that you have to sacrifice and
work hard for it.
You will move gently and merrily down
the steam of life not because it’s that easy but much more because you are determined
to make it irrespective of the challenges.
Remember to take along Theodore
Roosevelt’s words “Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to
work hard at work worth doing.”
Life might just be a dream but Langston
Hughes admonishes “Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird
that cannot fly.”
