Dora and Doreen’s Imagination

Dear lovely people,

“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” Says Albert Einstein

Dora and Doreen are best of friends, it’s not just about the fact that their names begin with a ‘Do’ sound, it is more about the fact that they shared everything together including ideas about life and what they wanted to become in the future. They often sat together and just dream, letting loose their imaginations and delving into the world of imaginings. Both of them, developed some sort of mental movies of the life they would live.

Dora was exquisitely beautiful, her appearance drove most of the men who set eyes on her into a ‘trance’. She quickly noticed this and always enjoyed holding her admirers spellbound with her dazzling beauty and somehow thought life was just that simple. She thought she could get all and everything just by her beauty to the extent that she factored in her beauty into her success plan.

Doreen on the other hand was beautifully made but nothing compared to her friend. She dreamed of starting her own hospital when she graduates from medical school and knew that life was not just about dreaming. She knew it was a tough task ahead and so she was working at making it happen. She was ready to climb the hills as well as wade through the rough valleys to get to her dream.

But life some of the times is far from being what we spend time dreaming about even when we thinking we have everything figured out. Dora all along expected a Mr. Right (rich and handsome) to pop up from nowhere someday and leapfrog her to her dream of owning a five-star hotel business. Doreen understood clearly that she will need people along the way but that personally getting things done the right way and in time was her best bet.

Fifteen years later, Doreen became the proud owner of the much talked about Everest Medical Center – a prosperous hospital employing over a hundred full-time medical and paramedical staff amongst whom was Dora - serving as the hospital’s chief administrator.

Your imagination is everything, it can take you to the summit of success or to the bottom of failure in life. It all depends how you use it. I read that “Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it, we go nowhere.”
