Dear lovely people,
In this game of life, you have to target your
own success. Joel Osteen says “When you focus on being a blessing, God
makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance.” Notice here that
you can’t be focusing on being a blessing if you are not thinking of others. It’s
only in blessing others that you receive blessings. What is more satisfying
than just surrendering to the will of God?
There are a number of things you have to
target as you work to become successful in life. That is why I agree with Jack
Canfield when he says “Successful people maintain a positive focus
in life no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past
successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they
need to take to get them closer to the fulfillment of their goals rather than
all the other distractions that life presents to them.”
Many are those who focus on the pain they go
through each day. I keep saying that if you have not tasted pain, you will never
know the real taste of success. It is actually in the middle of pain
that success is crafted out and as a matter of fact, Aristotle Onassis puts it intelligently
when he says “It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.”
At such dark moments, Denis Waitley insists “Don't
dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your
energies on moving forward toward finding the answer.”
Let your within speak to you. Even if success
was a question of simply using your eyes to see it, I will still join Mark
Twain to say that “You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.”
God
brought you into this beautiful world not do dwell on pain but rather to be
refined by pain so you become a better person just as gold is refined by fire in
a furnace. You have a destiny and like Ralph Marston says “Your destiny is to fulfill those things upon
which you focus most intently. So choose to keep your focus on that which is
truly magnificent, beautiful, uplifting and joyful. Your life is always moving
toward something.”
