Smell of Success

Dear lovely people,

It was an exited James who walked in through the doors with all Cameras on him. To him, it was the most intense moment of his forty-one years of existence on earth. The house was breathtaking with a sublime décor, the chairs, and the furniture for short everything looked like a contemporary Hollywood mansion and to imagine that all of this was going to become his in the minutes ahead was more than he could ever imagine. As he walked into the gigantic sitting room, the thunderous voice of the MC came on life amidst the applause… “Ladies and gentlemen, please join me to welcome the luckiest man on earth and winner of this exquisite mention Mr Bobga James.”

At the mention of his name, James felt his knees losing strength, he felt as though he was losing his breath as he climbed the podium. The MC continued “additionally to this sumptuous mansion, Mr. Dalton James will walk home today with a mouthwatering five hundred thousand dollar check and this will be handed to him right now by the CEO of Soft Solutions Inc.” behold! As James stretched out his trembling hands to collect the check that will launch him into a new era, he woke up to the reality that it was all a dream. He could still smell the aroma of success.

The question is … do you dream of amassing great wealth one day? Of freeing yourself from money-related stress? Just like James, I do too! But here’s the hard fact: millions of people around the world dream of making lots of money but truth is that only very few achieve it. Why is that?
Is it because of a lack of intelligence? I would say a big No.
Is it because of some preordained bad luck? Again, it’s a No.
Is it because of their mindset? Here it’s a big Yes.

Get the point, you alone are in control of your life. Things don’t and will NEVER happen by chance, they happen by choice. Taking full responsibility for your life is step one towards creating the life you dream of. You hold the keys to your own Destiney and when things don’t work out? Don’t blame or criticize others, and don’t justify yourself. Just learn from the failures, keep on forging ahead and do better next time the next time you try. That’s what the rich people do.

More so, you’ve got to know exactly how you want to live your life. Do you want to play in the little leagues, in the minors or in the major leagues? It’s your choice. Do you want to be a pacesetter or a passive follower? Only you can decide. It’s been said over and over and I unequivocally believe that you can accomplish anything you can imagine. But, here’s the point, if you think small… You’ll accomplish small. You must think big. It’s more fun, and it opens you up to a world of infinite possibilities.

What you focus on, is what you become. Most things that happen to us can be seen as either opportunity or as an obstacle. It depends on what you focus on. Rich people choose to see everything as a blessing, as a stepping stone for something greater. When there is a problem, they see an opportunity by focusing on proposing a solution to that problem and that will swell their bank account. What’s your outlook on things? Do you focus on finding opportunities or do you only see the risks & obstacles?

“You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You can’t get there by bus, only by hard work and risk and by not quite knowing what you’re doing. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover will be yourself.” Says Alan Alda
