Dear lovely people,
Many call it success, I describe it as stepping onto high places. How do you know you are headed for high places? Even though it’s a long journey to get there, you must have passions that you pursue as a starting point. You can’t stay stagnant about your passions, if you set out to make a difference, it’s because you know you have something wonderful to contribute to the world. God has blessed you with unique talents and gifts that you should not only know of but use them to pursue your passions.
Many are those who fail to get to high places because they could not fine-tune their filtering chambers. Once on the road to high places, you don’t have to care what other people think. The fact is, you can’t please everyone. The standards with which society judges people is many times unrealistic. Keep true to yourself, love what you do and the person you are.
Part of keeping true to yourself, is refusing to be a victim. It has to be very clear that life doesn’t always happen to you.
Many times, you
are a co-creator of your life experiences. Successful people clearly
understand this concept and refuse to be kept down by life experiences. Even in
the face of all aridity, they rise up and conquer because they have sufficiently learned
that setbacks and failure are part
of self-growth. They know that not everyone can have success all the
time. Life is about victories and defeats. At all points on your
journey, you have to look at your setbacks as stepping stones to
something better.
It’s crucial that you
establish a support
system including people who would do anything for you. If you can figure out the
people who believe in you and can stand by you at all times from those who only
pretend that they do but can kill you behind your back, then you are making tremendous
progress towards high places. This is a painful realization, but once you learn
to see the signs of betrayal, you can stay away from such people.
Keep the flame alight in
those who stand by you by celebrating their successes. Pour out
yourself to others, openly acknowledge the people who rise to the top. The
more positive energy you give to other people’s victories, the more you will
create your own.
