You Are Unique

Dear lovely people,

That Saturday, the hall was filled with all sorts of top Executives, it was a real blast and I thank all those who made it a memorable experience. When I stepped onto the podium, I was electrified, I asked myself too many questions than I could generate answers. Why would all these people fill-up such a huge hall just to listen to me talk to them about what they might already know?

You don’t just wake up and become a top-level executive, you work hard for it, you go through thin and thick to be named one and there, they were in their numbers, burning with desire to listen to my talk that afternoon. At the end of the presentation, I was confident I did just what I came to do, I did my best and I gave it my all as for always.

Many where those who met me at the end of the event complementing, asking specific questions or to collect my contacts for the future. Many equally are those who asked me what it takes to talk the way I do and captivate large audiences. Others told me they wished they could be like me and still some wanted to know what it takes to be like me. I told them to stay glued to the Living Lectures blog for a response and here we go...

I don’t want to be somebody else, I don’t even what to be like somebody and so nobody should want or wish to be like me. I just want to be the best of myself and as a matter of fact, everybody should seek to be just their best simply because You are unique.

Think of all the people living in the world today or who lived on planet earth since the very beginning of time. None of them is like you! Amazing isn’t it? Just imagine what a miraculous thing is to be you! Nobody has the same combination of talents, abilities, sorrows and opportunities. No one has the same friends, family jokes or acquaintances. Nobody‘s finger prints are the same, not even identical twins. No one has the same concerns or goals like you. No one! You are unique!

Nobody else could give out such rendition as I did that Saturday, not because I am the best but rather because I gave it my way and everybody else will do it their way. They’ll have different gestures, tone, tempo, voice projection, style etc. and that’s because, You are unique.

Accept and enjoy this uniqueness. You don‘t have to pretend to look more like other expect you to be. Don‘t be afraid to be different. No one in the world has the same things going on in his mind, soul and spirit as are going on in yours. It is a gift only to you. Treasure and share your uniqueness!

Nobody can speak your words. Nobody can smile your smile. No one can bring the same unique impact of you to another person. Enjoy your uniqueness, let it flow out among your family and friends, all the people you meet all because You are unique.

Walt Disney puts it clearly “The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique." Give yourself away and be inspired by the fact that YOU ARE UNIQUE!
