A Time Bomb Personality

Dear lovely people,

A time bomb according to Wikipedia is “an explosive device composed of a power source, detonator, explosive charge, and a timer which substitutes for a fuse or trigger.” A time bomb is therefore a self-starter that can explode at any time.

The compound word self-starter is very important; a self-starter is a person who is sufficiently motivated or ambitious to start a new career or business or to pursue further education without the help of others. Do you see the similarity with a time bomb designed to blow off on its own when the time comes.

A time bomb is too small compared to its destructive power. Thanks to is constituent parts crafted together by an expert and working in synergy, its blast can lead to enormous damage with regards to human life and property over a large geographical area.

Look at the lives of the mega achievers, take Africa’s richest man – Dangote for example, it took him many years of toiling, putting together the constituent components of his success time bomb: a dream, a good plan, hard work, lessons from past failures, commitment, tenacity etc. to explode onto the scenes as the richest man in Africa with the power and means to do and undo unimaginable things. That is the Time Bomb Mentality I am talking about. Dangote exploded onto the international scene out of nowhere like a time bomb.

Success can only come to you when you consciously decided where your path should begin and where you want it to end. If you are a business man for example and you are still trying to convince yourself of your own worth, how can you possibly persuade clients that you have expertise and abilities? If you seem uncertain and insecure in your talents, your competition will automatically start looking good to your client.

If, on the other hand, you are secure in your own abilities, the competition will become irrelevant, and your clients will respond to your confidence. Businesses are constantly being solicited to transfer their accounts to a new vendor. When you are sure you're meant to be a survivor, you'll be able to hold on to your position in your industry and make your business count.

Many people embark on the quest for success, only to be disillusioned by the amount of time and energy it takes to get to the detonation point where their effort explode into success just like a time bomb. Power comes from knowledge. Use your resources, and learn as much as you can. Think carefully about your skills set, as they will serve you. If you don't possess these skills, seek help to enable you develop them, and you'll increase your chances of survival.

If a time bomb is set to explode in two years, that is exactly what happens, its timer will be ticking away and moving closer to the ignition point each time. Once you invest time to constitute the components of your success time bomb: an audacious dream, plan, focus, tenacity, determination, and synchronize them, avoiding the corrosive effects of procrastination, inertia, demotivation, etc. nothing will stop you from exploding into great achievements with rippling effects just like a time bomb.
